Cold play

Vesta : Fishbone via New Yorker - asta e a ei :D:D

//Later edit// English version :

As I mentioned several postings ago, I got my sister to let herself be subject to my styling samplings, so I just had to torture her with another dressing up session when she came over last Saturday. Only for two outfits however, she didn't stay very long...I wonder why :D:D.
This is the first outfit, that started out from one of the grandma skirts that I have mentioned before..It's a play on cold tones, complemented by the warmer bronze hue of the earrings and the details on her jean vest.

Outfit:
Skirt (worn as a dress): handmedown from grandma
Jean Vest : Fishbone via New Yorker - this is actually hers :D:D
Belt: Marc by Marc Jacobs, it came with a swimsuit I recently purchased
Boots: Eden Shoes (from Paris)
Sunnies: Solaris ( also from Paris)
Earrings: Moschino, will be up in the shop soon :)

Park outing with the kid

Curea: C&A

p.s. Too lazy to translate all the above right now ...will do so on request :))))))))))))

prints & leather

Outfit:
Vesta: Amisu via New Yorker, cadou de la mama
Rochie: mostenire de la matusa mea
Cizme: Sepala by Mihaela Glavan

English version:
No doubt a classic match, but works just great when you want to resuscitate a retro dress without looking too costumey :)
The dress is from the 70's era, a handmedown from my aunt, ans has most likely been sewn by my great-grandfather. A unique piece...I always love having on a dress that I know for sure nobody else can wear.

Composition:
Vest: Amisu via New Yorker, a gift from mum
Dress: handmedown from my aunt
Boots: Sepala by Mihaela Glavan
Ring: one of a kind piece, bought from a local Artists' Union shop
Belt & Earrings : to be up in the shop

This is the outfit I submitted for theGlamourai's Polkadotrama costume challenge. I didn't win the big prize though :D:D,you can check out the winner here (I voted for her too :D:D) . However , Kelly did like this outfit and rewarded it with a 15% off discount on her shop, as she probably rewarded many other entries...you can see the finalists here, it was really difficult picking only one to vote for.

Vest: Blue Steel
Bag: from a boutique in New York
Shoes : Miu Miu (via eBay)

Grey & Gold

I always considered this colour combo to be somewhat on the classy side, so I tried creating a youthful attire, by using the golden studs and the traditional pieces in this outfit (plus the ultra-non-classy jeans :D).

Composition:
Shirt: traditional, almost 40 years old, handmedown from my aunt
Vest: Strass Exclusive Brand(from Paris)- introduced here, also styled here and here
Jeans: H&M
Wedges: Miu Miu (from eBay)--my new favourite shoes:D
Bag: traditional
Sunnies: Solaris (from Paris)

Geometrics

This dress is a handmedown from grandma, and though my taste in fashion has evolved throughout the years, it is the one item in her wardrobe I've always fancied, ever since I was a kid. I guess it's because of the print. And the colours.
I have stacks of grandma skirts and dresses in my wardrobe,as exemplified here, here and here, and most of them need alterations, since they are too big for me. The same goes for this dress, but I've been putting this huge project on hold for various reasons, which turned out to be quite favourable. The size of this dress ended up being just right for my pregnant belly, and I've worn it a lot during this period. I'm glad I managed to shoot it eventually, it was my final blog-worthy outfit before giving birth (well, except for the one I wore when rushing to the hospital, but that doesn't count, it was something similar to this one , so it's already been posted :) ).

Composition:
Dress: handmedown from grandma
Cardigan: See by Chloe'
Boots: Hush Puppies
Earrings: made by me
Bangles: from a local boutique ( I have them in sooo many colours :D )
Sunnies: Solaris (from Paris)

And the sky was made of amethyst...

I am finally getting around to posting the remaining pregnancy outfit photos I took. These and the ones from the post to follow have been taken on my last huge-bellied day :D, the labour started a few hours after :D.

Composition:
Shirtdress: Die Lingener , handmedown from mum (actually especially stolen from her for this big waisted 'occasion' )
Oversized cardi: no label, it looks like handmade , also handmedowm from mum
Scarf: Zara (from Ra'anana, Israel)
Sunnies: Solaris (from Paris)
Boots: Cafe Noir
Bag: from a Mini Prix store
Vest: Polo Garage
Earrings: gift from one of my bffs
Tights: from a supermarket

Grandma Skirt

This will be just a short outfit post, displaying a skirt I got from grandma & which I am using as a dress. It is a tad too long to wear as it is, but it is really beautiful and I do not want to shorten any of it. I promised my sister I will turn it into a tulip skirt for her, so I have to keep it's length for now. So until this skirt will shape-shift, this is how I am planning to wear it (of course we have the jean vest again- let me know when you all get bored of seeing it over and over again and maybe...just maybe I'll let it breathe for a while :D).

Composition:
Dress: skirt from grandma
Vest: New Yorker
Necklace: Irina Schrotter
Earrings: a gift
Sandals: Stefanel
Hobo Bag: from Payless Shoe Source, New Jersey (if I remember correctly)
Belt: C&A

p.s. I know I promised to incorporate bags in the outfit posts, and to display part of my collection, so I am marking down the second one I am showing...there are sooo many to come :D

Button Cuff

I know I've been kinda lazy in posting lately, but I'm sure gonna make up for it today:D.
So...here's what I've done yesterday:

Tadaaaaa!! A fancifull-clowny-playfull button cuff :D. I love it ,but the ribbon adding gave me a couple of headaches yesterday...it just failed to curl the way I wanted it to . But hah! it couldn't resist my will/needle after all:D.

Here's also a quick outfit I put toghether to go with it, I will follow up with another later on :):):).
White, red and of course black being the strongest colours of the cuff, I made up the outfit around them.

Composition:
Tee: Rolling Stones
Skirt: Max&Co.
Boots: Formenterra
Disco earrings: handmedown from mum
