royal fuchsia #2

A sequel to the previous outfit, this is what I actually ended up sporting out at work the other day (the main reason being that the fishnets are not entirely cold-proof ;)) )
I think that this dress is the perfect pregnancy item, covering the modified waist and making you stand out of the crowd.Judging by the looks I got while wearing it, I would almost say big bellies hidden under baggy clothes are sexy :)))))))

Composition:
Dress : American Retro
Boots: Cafe Noir
Beanie: made by me for my bf, but I figured I deserve at least one wear for knitting it :D:D
Necklaces: made by me

Also, here is a detail shot of a vintage ring I got from an antiquities shop in Brasov; it has half funny/half grotesque monkey-resembling faces supporting the stone:

royal fuchsia #1

the real colour of this sweater-dress is the one from the last image, but my bf (or should I say husband :D:D) was fooling around with the lights, hence the various shades.

Composition:
Dress : American Retro
Vest: Blue Steel from DulapulBunicii
Boots: Cafe Noir
Head bow: Alice&Sara from DulapulBunicii
Earrings: vintage, from my bf's mum ; they were screw-backs initially, but I turned them into clip-ons, they hang much nicer on the earlobe like this
Necklace: from an improvised antiquity market in front of St.Denis Basilica , in Paris

Here is a close up of the earrings, a perfect 80's reminder :

too much blue can never kill you

2 necklaces i cropped up tonight...I still have to perform some cosmetic adjustments on them, so just a teaser 4 now :D:D

the dragon pendant is from a co-worker of mine, and the Egyptian hippo & scarabs are from the Louvre giftshop (the hippo was originally a key chain, and the scarabs..well I don't know what they were but I pierced them into beads :D)

muhahaha...today's acquisitions

I don't remember the last time I've been so exited about something I bought...:

1. This huge pink bow from Dulapul Bunicii , which is resting for the moment on my bf's plush Cartman puppet :D:D (you should really see this image :P) , until I incorporate it in a smart outfit .

2. The colourful vintage shirt/summer jacket, which I just ordered 10 minutes ago . I can't wait for its arrival :D:D, my heart just started calming down...

What do you think about these ?

chicks and checks

don't you just love this cardi? I fell in love with it the minute I saw it, at a local sort of a thrift store... it just seems to go with everything... it had some additional white ribbons and rhinestones around the neck , but I removed them , as I considered the glossy buttons to be enough of a glam element. I put the ribbon to a better use :D:D

Composition:
Chestplate: made by me ( as illustrated here - more outfits including it here & here )
T-shirt: plain black tee
Skirt: I've had since childhood
Boots: Burberry

boyfriend hat

this outfit has been constructed around this hat that my bf got in Budapest a while ago, in terms of colour that is . the arm is that of the Austro-Hungarian Empire; he also has one of the communist party, but that is too much a socio-political statement for this blog :D.plus it's not that shiny:)))))

Composition:
Hat: on loan from my bf
Waistcoat: Polo Garage (I love it's texture..wall-paper like :) )
Skirt: Stefanel
Tank: Ruby Sky

Crocheted socks: I've had since childhood :d

surprised enough:D:D?

soooo...this is what I've been "cooking" lately...I and my bf are 5 months pregnant :D:D:D...<>

(carl, if you're reading this...don't faint just yet :P )

everybody's been assuring us that we'll be hip parents (//blush), so I have to also live up to these expectations fashion-wise :D, but it's up to you to decide on whether I pull this off
graciously or not;) . the process is significantly encumbered by the fact that pregnancy clothing shops in Bucharest (and obviously Romania) are quite defective of statement items. all I could find is clothing for +50 , lacking imagination expecting housewives . I don't want anybody who has actually bought such items to feel offended in any way, it's excusable since there's barely anything to choose from . I just won't spend a dime on any of these products. furthermore, maternity clothing here is way more expensive than the online counterpart. hence, i decided to make do with what I already own ( I'm lucky that I have a lot of loose fitting garments) , and make whatever more I need myself...there's something ongoing in this direction, but I will reveal it once it is ready :D.

I'm following up on this post with several outfit versions; I was forced to rummage my wardrobe since the baby i
s quite expansive :D:D, and doesn't really agree to part of my clothes' sizes :D:D:D. I have so many items I'm going to miss till next year, but I did rediscover some forgotten ones....oh, well, that's that :D

Composition:
Jean shirt: Vila Denim Engineered (picked up years ago from a Mini Prix store)
Sheer cardigan: Stefanel
