Geometrics
This dress is a handmedown from grandma, and though my taste in fashion has evolved throughout the years, it is the one item in her wardrobe I've always fancied, ever since I was a kid. I guess it's because of the print. And the colours.
I have stacks of grandma skirts and dresses in my wardrobe,as exemplified here, here and here, and most of them need alterations, since they are too big for me. The same goes for this dress, but I've been putting this huge project on hold for various reasons, which turned out to be quite favourable. The size of this dress ended up being just right for my pregnant belly, and I've worn it a lot during this period. I'm glad I managed to shoot it eventually, it was my final blog-worthy outfit before giving birth (well, except for the one I wore when rushing to the hospital, but that doesn't count, it was something similar to this one , so it's already been posted :) ).
